Minutes
MEETING HELD AT 7.30 ON WEDNESDAY 8TH JUNE 2016
IN THE SUPPER ROOM, KIRKCOLM VILLAGE HALL
PRESENT:- Ian Morral (IM)-Chairman, Thomas Cochrane (TC) KCC Member, Malcolm Baker (MB) KCC, Wind farm Administrator.
IN ATTENDANCE:-
Willie Scobie-Councillor,Marie Bradshaw-Resident, Jean McEown- SWI/Church, Bobbie McKie-Bowling Club.
APOLOGIES:- Police, Iain Dick, Peter Joiner, Jane Stanistreet.
POLICE BUSINESS:- Police Scotland had nothing to report.
The minutes from the previous meeting were proposed by Ian Morral and seconded by Thomas Cochrane.
1- Storage cupboard for the hall.
It was confirmed by Tommy Cochrane that a cupboard could be built inside the £100 budget, sizes were needed which were to be supplied by
Ian Morral.
2-Storage of Gala Equipment
It was agreed to pursue the siting of a container on the school field. Ian Morral to speak to the planning department.
3- Gala
The final preparations for the Gala day were discussed, everything seemed to be in order and the weather forecast was looking favourable.
Any Other Business
CCES
It was agreed that Dumfries and Galloway Council were not efficiently dealing with enquiries made through the ‘Community Council Enquiry System’ (CCES) the main problems being the length of time to reply and not answering questions properly it was decided a complaint would be made.
Wind Farm
Malcolm Baker proposed to vote to appoint a solicitor to act jointly for Kirkcolm CC and the other two community councils involved in the Glen App wind farm project. Ian Morral seconded the motion and as there were no objections the proposal was passed
The next KCC meeting will be at 7.30 on July 13th.
